Join us and your community for a super-fun, casual race series on the Rope Tow Hill.
What: Modified GS weekly race series. You can race as an individual, on a team of four, or both. You will race two runs and your best run counts for both your team and as an individual. The three best runs on the team count towards the team points. Individual and team points will be accumulated for the year-end awards. There won’t always be a training course set each week, but you can free ski before, during, and after your runs.
When: Beginning as soon as there is enough snow! Thursday evenings 5:30pm to 7pm during the ski season with eight weeks of racing. Six of those races will count towards your end of the year points and prizes.
Pre-registration: Due to COVID, pre-registration will be required every week and preference will go to racers who have paid for the season. We will limit attendance to 55 people. Racers only on the hill, no spectators. There will be no day-of registration this season.
Who: Open to everyone! Teams may consist of any combination of male, female, kids, adults, skiers (downhill, tele and cross-country) and snowboarders.
Where: At the Ascutney Rope Tow next to the Ascutney Outdoors Center 449 Ski Tow Rd., Brownsville, Vt. 05037
Cost: $40.00 per individual for the 8-week season, payable on the first week. $10.00 per night if you come on a week-by-week basis.
Social Time: Regrettably, we’re not going to be able to do post-race pot-luck this season because of COVID. We will not congregate inside the AOC, but will use the fire pit on some nights to keep you toasty.
